“Three individuals detained following fatal shooting of a man in Dublin”

An investigation is currently ongoing into a fatal shooting in Drimnagh, Dublin, carried out by the Gardaí. This incident happened just after the stroke of midnight, causing a male life to be lost.

Three individuals have been detained in connection to this incident. As per the information provided by the Garda, the male was fatally shot on Knocknarea Road in Drimnagh, at approximately 12:15 am on Monday.

The area where the incident happened has been sealed off for technical analysis by the Garda Technical Bureau. The man’s body has not yet been moved, with a postmortem exam scheduled to be conducted.

Three men connected to the incident are currently under arrest and were held at Garda stations in the Dublin Region according to Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Under the leadership of a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), the case is being investigated with a dedicated incident room set up at the Sundrive Road Garda Station.
