“Man Killed in M11 Arklow Crash”

In a tragic incident, a man in his 40s lost his life in a single-vehicle crash in County Wicklow. The accident involved a truck, driven by the victim, and occurred at the 19th junction on M11, near Arklow, around 1:45 pm.

Following the accident, Gardaí and emergency assistance arrived at the scene, with the latter declaring the individual dead on site. The victim’s body was kept at the crash site thereafter. Local authorities sought to appeal for and encourage witnesses to get in touch, particularly on Tuesday afternoon.

Post-incident, the M11’s southbound lane was shut off, prompting the initiation of local detours. The road was set to undergo a thorough examination by forensic collision experts.

Further, drivers who were en route M11 between 1.15pm and 2pm, and have any camera footage related to the incident have been urged to step forward.
