In response to “Dublin city centre’s new taskforce to enhance public safety and address other transportation issues” (News, May 7th), it is challenging to comprehend how the formation of yet another taskforce can make any significant difference in enhancing individual safety on public transport. It seems like the taskforce members may conduct their meetings on the Luas – could they then step in directly to address the widely reported daily incidents of anti-social behaviour? I would certainly purchase a ticket to witness such proceedings.
