€150,000 Meat Haul Stolen in Dublin

A refrigerated lorry trailer containing meat products valued at £150,000 was purloined from a service station in northern County Dublin this past Saturday. The local police force, known as the Gardaí, reported that the incident took place at about 9 in the morning at the back of the service station located in Donabate’s Turvey area.

The trailer, which bore the image of some fruit along with the caption ‘Les Rives’, was coupled with a Volvo tractor unit. It’s suggested that the vehicle made its way towards the Northern part of Ireland, according to a spokesperson of the force.

She further stated that an inquiry into this criminal act is currently underway. In the meantime, Gardaí at the Swords station are urging any individual who may have relevant information about this theft, or who might have spotted any unusual happenings in Turvey, Donabate that Saturday morning, to reach out to the Swords Garda station on 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any local Garda station.
