“Drugs and Cash Found at Collins Barracks”

During a raid at the Collins Barracks in Cork, illicit substances and money were confiscated by the army police. The operation was successfully executed with support from the Garda, resulting in the arrest of a Defence Forces member by the gardaí.

The Defence Forces, in a released statement, revealed that along with the detainment, a vehicle was yielded to An Garda Síochána for probing as part of the ongoing scrutiny.

They further iterated that the matter is currently under the jurisdiction of An Garda Síochána, with Military Police offering their support whenever necessary throughout the investigation.
