“58-Year-Old Man Arrested for Antrim Stabbing”

A man, aged 58, has been detained under suspicion of attempted murder following a knife attack in Co Antrim. The Northern Ireland Police Service (PSNI) reported they were notified of a stabbing incident in the West Road vicinity of Portglenone on Friday morning, prior to 10am.

Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities located a male victim suffering from knife injuries to his neck and leg, as stated by a representative. Fellow team members from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service transported the victim to a hospital for his wounds to be treated, which currently are not deemed life threatening.

Meanwhile, the accused 58-year-old male was apprehended concerning the incident and currently remains in police detention, supporting with the investigation process.

The PSNI has requested anyone within the area at the incident time or anyone having potentially helpful information to come forward.
